He will spearhead the growth plans for the region, which include expanding the India sales representative team.

 

One to Six-Star Marketing Packages to Help India’s Suppliers Reach Global Buyers

Global Sources will offer its One to Six-Star packages to Indian suppliers, giving each the ability to tailor specific marketing plans for their specific needs. Options include varying levels of exposure through Global Sources’ print, online and face-to-face channels.

 

The Company will also apply its proprietary One to Six-Star Rating System to suppliers in India, giving each one to six stars according to the depth of verified product and company information that they provide.

India Sourcing Fair Gives Indian Suppliers a Showcase in Asia’s Trade Capital

Global Sources plans to launch the India Sourcing Fair: Home Products in April 2009. The event is scheduled to be co-located with the China Sourcing Fair: Home Products at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo.

 

Global Sources’ executive director, Sarah Benecke, said: “The India Sourcing Fair will be the first dedicated exhibition of Indian suppliers ever to be held in Asia’s Trade Capital – Hong Kong. Private Sourcing Events Connect Buyers with Pre-screened Indian Suppliers

Global Sources is expanding its Private Sourcing Events to India, to be held by Adlink, starting with events for Costume Jewelry and Kitchenware in New Delhi on Feb. 28 and 29. 


The events will give buyers sourcing from India the chance to meet face-to-face with quality-focused local suppliers that meet their specific requirements.

 

Six buyers are scheduled to participate, including:

As previously announced, Global Sources’ inaugural China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components and Hardware & Building Materials are scheduled to be held on Nov. 14-16, 2008 at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai.
