Baldwin Obtains $2.6 Million Newspaper Order in Japan

SHELTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (AMEX: BLD - News), a global leader in process automation technology for the printing industry, announced today that its subsidiary, Baldwin Japan, has secured a $2.6 million order from the Nikkan Sports Newspaper Printing Company, part of the Asahi Newspaper Group, for their four new Mitsubishi newspaper presses. The Nikkan order includes Baldwins automatic guide roller cleaning equipment, automatic press washers, super washers and spray dampening systems. The Mitsubishi presses are scheduled to be installed in September, 2009 and March, 2010 at the Nikkan plant in Tsukiji, Tokyo.
 
This order is another endorsement of Baldwins focus on technologies that dramatically increase press productivity and print quality while reducing waste, cutting operating costs and reducing the impact of printing on the environment.
