“We rewrote the ORG CHART, readjusted the salaries, replaced all the servers, brought in modern engineering technology - we are designing in three dimensions now while we used to design in two - and all that has been done in the last six months. These have been big changes for the organization to absorb, and we also changed the way we are marketing the product in the US.” - John Gocek. (SDW) (Interview published May 16, 2008)

Tozour Energy Systems and Sofame Technologies Inc. Chosen for Energy Plant Project at Princeton

Wednesday December 3, 2:45 pm ET
MONTREAL, Dec. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Tozour Energy Systems, a full-service HVAC and building automation provider, and Sofame Technologies Inc. (TSX-V: SDW - News), a leading manufacturer of commercial-industrial heat recovery equipment, have been selected to manufacture a new heat recovery system for the energy plant at Princeton University.
Tozour Energy Systems collaborated with Sofame to engineer and manufacture a Percotherm(TM) condensing heat recovery system to be installed at the University's energy plant. This new system will reduce the plant's greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 5,000 tons of CO2 per year and recover 10,000,000 BTU/hr of waste heat with a peak recovery of 23,000,000 BTU/hr, thereby lowering energy bills.

This project is the first cogen/turbine installation in the United States for Tozour Energy Systems and Sofame Technologies.

The energy plant runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to produce all of the steam and chilled water and approximately half of the electric power used on Princeton's main campus The energy plant received a 2007 Energy Star CHP Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy for reducing pollution and improving energy efficiency.

"This project is part of the University's many sustainability initiatives to promote energy and environmental savings," said Ted Borer, energy plant manager at the University. "The addition of this direct-contact economizer to our existing cogeneration system will increase the amount of energy recovered from waste heat, reduce fuel use, reduce our carbon footprint and help defer the need for new steam-generating capacity as the university continues to grow."

Kevin Duffy, COO of Tozour Energy Systems, said "We are proud to help clients reduce their impact on the environment by improving the efficiency of their heat recovery systems."

"Sofame and Tozour Energy Systems are pleased to custom engineer, manufacture and install this energy efficiency project," said John Gocek, president and CEO of Sofame Technologies Inc.
