Coach Don Shula to Appear in All HearUSA
Company-Owned Hearing Care Centers
West Palm Beach, Florida, July 25,
2007 -- Being in two places at once is a challenge
for most people. Thanks to the imagination of HearUSA, Coach Don Shula will be able to
have a presence at each of its 165 company-owned stores.
So how is their most visible representative going to pull off such a
feat? Coach Shulas likeness will appear in the form of life-size cardboard stand-ups
that will be displayed in the waiting rooms of all HearUSA and HEARx hearing care centers.
Additionally, all of the centers will receive buttons with Coach Shulas signature
phrase, I heard that! imprinted on them.
As part of the relationship between HearUSA and the winningest Coach
in NFL history, a new media campaign featuring Coach Shula has been rolling out in the
eight states where HearUSAs centers are located. The campaign, dubbed Just
Find Out, features Coach Shula in print ads, direct mail, and television commercials
in select markets. The stand-ups are the latest incarnation of the partnership, which has
developed significantly since Coach Shula was fitted for hearing aids several months ago
at a HEARx center in Aventura, Florida.
Coach Shula has been a wonderful resource for HearUSA as we
strive to educate the public about hearing health, comments Paige Brough, Senior Vice-President of Corporate Communications. The
life-size stand-ups of Coach and the I heard that! buttons are a creative way
to tie in the efforts from the media campaign directly to the individual centers.
Other initiatives are being developed around the Just Find
Out campaign that allows Coach Shula to spread the message that hearing health is
just as important as other health issues and urges people to just find out!
