Interview conducted by:

Lynn Fosse, Senior Editor, CEOCFO Magazine, Published – March 16, 2015

CEOCFO: Mr. DeCrescenzo, would you tell us the concept at iAreaNet?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: iAreaNet was built and developed to allow small businesses to have a smarter way to run their office. It allows them to take many separate systems for phone, desktop, file storage, IT support, applications, business analytics, CRM and take all of that and put it into one platform that is easy to use and accessible from any device or location and provide the IT support that you need to grow your business.

CEOCFO: What do you understand about pulling all the systems together that allows you to have an offering that is easier, cheaper and more effective?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: We have developed our product over the last fifteen years through input from the customers themselves. It is almost as if the customers designed the product themselves. We have a nice easy dashboard for when the employees of our clients log in, to set up the training and HR all built into one location. For them to collect information or get information out to their employees, we have simplified that process. Today you can buy services independently from five or six different organizations and five different people you have to call for support and five different systems that you have to log into; the systems do not work well together at all, the cloud has caused more IT headache not less.

CEOCFO: Is it the ease of putting everything together or is it that you can help everyone from one spot which is driving attention?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: I would say it is a combination of both. It is easy for the customer to use and understand having one place to go for all of their support. It is like having an outsourced IT department & chief information officer.

CEOCFO: How are you able to pull all these different systems together?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: We have been developing our platform for over fifteen years now. We have about four million lines of codes and much of our own technology in software that allows us to bring this all together and to deliver it at a price that they can afford, and beat out the competition

CEOCFO: Who is using your services today?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: They are lawyers, staffing firms and all different types of companies. I would say the most common customer is on the business size. Most of our customers are about two to about a hundred employees.

CEOCFO: How are you able to help with disaster?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: Our product is internet based and we have three datacenters; we have one in New Jersey, one in Atlanta and one in Las Vegas. All three datacenters replicate with each other in real-time, so the chances of our datacenter going down is very low. We have not been down since 2002. If a customer has a disaster at their office or the power goes out, a snow storm or their access goes down, their employees can go and login from home so it provides a unmatched level of disaster prevention at their office as well.

CEOCFO: Is that a big feature for many of your clients or are people still not paying enough attention in that area?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: It has always been our belief that people are not paying enough attention. Having that server in your office and backing up your data online is not enough. We have seen many customers try to come to us after the fact and although we are able to help them and get them back online many times the data loss that they experience is severe and sometimes we can get it back and sometimes we cannot.

CEOCFO: Security is a growing concern but there are so many ways of approaching it. How do you maintain the most possible security when it seems that every day there is a new breach and a new idea on how to be the most effective?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: We have three patents on our network design network design for our security. All of our servers are in secure tier-one data centers. We own all of our own equipment. We use all industry-leading technology such as Cisco and HP as well as our own technology, when users log onto the network. We actually have technicians who monitor the network 24 hours a day and 365 days a year to make sure, if there are any people coming into the network to log on, that you are who you say you are. We also allow the customer to use three factor authentication.

CEOCFO: How is business today?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: Business is good. The year 2015 so far has been great for us and so was 2014. People are adopting this type of technology more and more. We have been doing it for so long that it is nice to see the market catching up to us and people utilizing this type of technology on a regular basis.

CEOCFO: How do you reach out to prospective customers?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: We reach out by word of mouth. We also go through agents, VARs and resellers.

CEOCFO: You have been recognized with a number of awards. What do you think is the most meaningful?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: We just the 2014 Cloud Computing Product of the year award and beat out IBM for best bring-your-own device platform. For me personally, it was heartfelt when we beat out some of the big companies out there.

CEOCFO: What might be different a year from now for you?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: We are getting into business analytics for our customers and we are manufacturing some of our own devices. We will able to give this small business the insight into their employees and their customers to help them grow. Although we are a service provider providing email, bio storage, applications and all that kind of stuff, our main focus on platform is more office automation, so it is being able to help those businesses out there have the tools they need to grow their companies.

CEOCFO: Is that something people have been asking for or are you more ahead of the game so that your customers can catch up to some of the bigger companies?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: We are a leading industry product, so we are ahead of more of our competition in terms of features and functionality. They have a lot of catching up to catch up to us. Our product has been driven over the last fifteen years from the customers. Much of what we do and what we add to our system and our platform is having our cue to the ground for our customer base. Getting the feedback from the customers is what drives our product and our development.

CEOCFO: What surprised you as the company has grown and developed?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: Well just the lack of service and in the industry. We pride ourselves on our customer service to our customers. When they come on board with us many times it takes a little while for them to pick up the phone and call us because they are so used to not getting any customer service.

CEOCFO: Why pay attention to IAreaNet Global?

Mr. DeCrescenzo: I think you should choose IAreaNet because it is going to help bring your company forward and ease your life and take something that is a hassle, being the IT in your communications and turn that into something that is a benefit.
